Winston-Salem Remodel- Kitchen Den Dining

Clients purchased a good home in a great neighborhood.  Layout was dated so clients, contractor and designer worked together to create the home for their future.

Small, narrow breakfast connected to cramped kitchen via pass through.  Passage between original refrigerator and stove was minimal.  Kitchen and Breakfast were opened up to create one room.  Cased opening between kitchen and dining was enlarged.  Den, Dining and Kitchen all flow into each other.

Oak Island Residence Kitchen adjacent to dining and living spaces

This piling home includes 2 x 6 load bearing walls with 16” deep floor trusses and LVL beams to provide additional structural resistance to hurricane conditions. All interior doors that access bedrooms and walk-in closets are 36” wide in order to accommodate ADA requirements. The master shower includes backing for the addition of owner installed grab bars. The storage area has been pre-wired for a 30 AMP circuit for an owner installed elevator. LED can lights and large windows provide an well lighted living space. The large front porch provides open outdoor space for relaxing. The home includes a 2-10 Home Builder’s Warranty. Full ground level bathroom not included in square footage. Enjoy water views from back covered porch. Large bedrooms, energy efficient and stunning finishes!

Vaulted Screen Porch Addition

Clients loved their existing home but the wood framed deck and pergola needed to be replaced.  We worked together to design a vaulted screen porch addition which extended the time they could enjoy their lovely backyard. 

They brought in RL Riddle Construction who completed the construction. The brick floor was seamless with the existing landing.

Our work-

Original kitchen was separated from adjacent living spaces.  Interior partition was removed and kitchen, dining, family room all function as one.
